Masumiyet Müzesi Θ ziyaretiniz için bir kaç tüyo:

–Müzenin açıldığı saatlerde orada olun ki, kalabalığa karışmadan gezebilesiniz.

–Pamuk’un roman yazarken yaptığı eskizler en üst katta. Yazmaya meraklıysanız, dikkatle incelemenizi öneririm.

–Benim ziyaret ettiğim dönemlerde müze içerisinde fotoğraf çekmek yasaktı. Abartmadan bir iki fotoğraf çekmeme bir şey demediler. Müzedeki objelerin görülebileceği katalog bir kitap var: Şeylerin Masumiyeti. Demem o ki, müzede sergilenen objeleri fotoğraflayıp bağlamlarından koparınca, tekil ikonlar haline gelip anlam yitimine uğrayacaklarından, bir anlam ifade etmeyeceklerdir zaten.

Orhan Pamuk’un henüz hak ettiği ilgiden uzakta olan bu projesindeki görkemin zamanla daha çok fark edileceğini biliyorum.

Some tips for visiting the ‘Innocence Museum’

–Be there at the exact opening time so that you can observe the museum without crowd. I suggest that upstairs, you should observe the way of Pamuk’s novel writing strategies and especially his esquisses.

–It is not allowed to take a photograph in the museum but it doesn’t matter; the objects chosen related to the novel and exhibited in the museum become icons and lose their meanings as a result of disaffiliating with their own transmissions, therefore their reproduction will not carry them beyond being only an image… I mean, how meaningful to reproduce all the objects when there are a lot of photographs from the museum in the book of “Innocence of the Things” prepared with purpose of being a museum catalogue?

I know that the glory in Orhan Pamuk’s project which does not get attention it deserves, will be realized progressively.
