İlki fotoğrafa teorik yaklaşan, ikincisi fotoğrafı çeken iki üstadın (Barthes ve HCB) yaklaşımlarına ilişkin olarak -tıpkı fotoğraf çeker gibi- seçerek, ayıklayarak, zumlayarak yaptığım iki incelemenin (‘Kış Bahçesinden Fotoğrafa Θ ve Fotoğraf, Zihinsel Şey Θ‘) sayfalarından süzülüp toparlananlar, fotoğrafi anlayışımın özüdür. Fotoğrafi yaklaşımımsa, bu özle beraber aşağıda 4 maddede özetlemeye çalıştığım ilgilerimin harmonisiyle belirir. Yazmakta olduğum üçüncü kitapsa, şu soruya cevap arıyor: “Eee, n’apmamız lazım, o zaman?”

Essence of my photography approach is that what I summarized selectively, by zooming in and out of pages of two observations I made (‘Kış Bahçesinden Fotoğrafa Θ ve Fotoğraf, Zihinsel Şey Θ‘) whose first is from the one approaching the photography theoretically and second is from the approaches of masters who took the picture. My photography approach is determined with the harmony of this essence and my interests that I tried to summarize in four bullet points in below. The third book that I’m writing is looking for the answer of this question: “Well, what do we need to do, then?”

1, Varlık / Existence
Çoğu zaman, “nesne” kendi isteği dışında teşhire zorlanmış olsa da, onun izlenmek gibi bir kaygısı yoktur. Onun öz varlığını farkedemeyen biri, neyi görmek ister? Tanımlanmaya ihtiyacı olmayan nesne zorla çeşitli kalıplara sokulmaya çalışılıyordur ki, bu saldırı nesnenin yitip, yok olmasına kadar devam eder. Değiştirilerek öz varlığı iğfal edilen nesne bu ahlaksız müdahaleye aldatarak karşılık verir. Kendi kontrolü dışında gelişen geçici indirgenmelerle “dönüştürülen nesne”, zaten “yanılsamaya” sebep olarak duruşunu göstermiştir bile. Tüm bu ardışık ve karşılıklı müdahaleler, nesneye bir zarar vermez, asıl zarara uğrayan onu teşhire zorlayıp, sınırlandırandır. Çünkü nesne tüm bu olan bitene kayıtsızdır ve bir süre için geçici bir illüzyona, bir hayalete dönüşmüştür. Bu “geçici dönüşüm”, onu kalıba sokanların ömrü kadardır ve çok geçmeden nesne kendini sıfır boyutuna kalibre ederek yoluna devam eder.

Most of the time, even when an object is unwillingly forced to exhibit itself, it still has no problem being observed.  If a person is not interested in seeing the essence of an object, what do they want to see? Forcing an object that doesn’t need to be known into different molds is tantamount to launching an attack that kills the object and erases all evidence of its existence.  The object that has been seduced and had its essence changed, responds with deception to this wanton intervention.  Due to developments beyond its control, this temporarily underestimated “transformed object” already displays its resistance as an “illusion.” None of these sequential and corresponding attacks harm the object, the one who is really harmed is the one who tries to limit the object.  For the object is impartial to all of these, and for a time has become a ghost, an illusion.  This “temporary transformation” lasts as long as the life of the one who tries to limit it and the object continues down the road of calibration to the point of zero.
